Q. Do you offer home appointments so that we can browse your designs first hand?

A. Yes, we offer no obligation design consultation appointments. Arrange a time convenient to you (evenings and Sundays included) for us to visit you with the portfolios of designs and colour decks. Discuss your design ideas and run through the process at your leisure.

Q. Can we order a sample and how much will it cost?

A. We strongly recommend that you order a sample, especially if you are trying to achieve a good colour match with bridesmaid’s dresses or the groom’s waistcoat/cravat, as the colours shown on our website will not be a true representation. If you have a sample of fabric, please send this to us to achieve the best match. Your first sample is free of charge – samples of 2 and above are charged at £5.00 each for stationery, £3.00 each for favours, which will be refunded against any order placed. Simply email us with the details of the design(s) you would like.

Q. What is included in the price of the ‘Traditional Collection’ invitations?

A. All printing, paper inserts and coordinating envelopes (where applicable).

Q. What is included in the price of the ‘Envelopments® Collection’ invitations?

A. All non-specified printing, a standard RSVP postcard and coordinating envelope (unless listed separately, check specific design). Pocket fold styles include two additional guest information steps, for example Accommodation, Transport, Directions, Menu Choice, Wedding Gift, and General Information etc. Further guest information steps are available at an additional charge and are charged separately for designs other than pocket folds.

Q. We really want something different or a twist on an existing design that you do – can you design something specifically for us?

A. Yes, we offer a bespoke service where we will discuss your ideas either on the phone, by email or in person.

Q. How does the bespoke service work?

A. Get in touch with us and we will discuss your specific requirements further with you either by email, phone and/or a design consultation meeting. We then proceed to the design stage incorporating your ideas and themes, after which you will receive a sample and quotation of your chosen stationery or favour design. If there are any amendments to the design sample, these are then done prior to an order being placed. You will need to sign paperwork to confirm final acceptance of the design.

Q. Does it cost more for a bespoke service?

A. No, only in our time! So please allow extra time for the design process in addition to the average lead time of 6-9 months for placing an order prior to your wedding. We do not charge a fee for the design process or any changes to designs prior to an order being placed and confirmed. If your timescales are shorter than this, please get in touch!

Q. How far ahead of my wedding will we need to order my stationery?

A. We suggest at least 6-9 months at absolute minimum. However, should your timescales be shorter please get in touch to discuss further! If you are sending out ‘Save the Date’s, these are usually done 12 months in advance of your wedding.

Q. How many/what should we order?

A. For save the date’s, invitations and thank you cards, remember you only need to order one per couple or family group, not one per guest! For orders of service, we advise one between two guests plus ten extra. For menus, order one or two (if the table is large) per table. One table name/number per table (think if you will need single or double sided, this will depend on your centre pieces). Place cards and favours - one per wedding breakfast guest, including any children or babies in high chairs. For table plans – order a small if you are having a gathering of up to 50 guests. If you have a larger wedding (50 guests plus) order a large size table plan otherwise your tables will look crowded in the layout and remember to include any babies that are with their parents on your day – they were part of it too!

Q. Is there a minimum order?

A. No, if for example you only need 55 items, you only order 55. We don’t force you into buying any more than you need to. But bear in mind, if you are writing and addressing your own invitations, remember to add a few additional ones onto your order just in case of any mistakes, and if you want a keepsake, remember to include that one in your numbers too! If we are printing your items for you, remember to include a few blanks in case you have forgotten anyone, or for example need to upgrade evening guests to day guests.

Q. Which fonts can we choose from for our text?

A. We have a selection of fonts available for you to choose from to coordinate with your style of stationery – traditional or modern, just ask for details, or leave it to us and we can match the font accordingly for you.

Q. We would like alternative wording for the stationery, can we send this to you?

A. Yes, no problem – you can have any wording that you wish. Send this to us via email or post and we will incorporate these for you.

Q. Can you save us time by printing guest names onto invitations, envelopes and place cards?

A. Yes, for a small additional charge. Look at design pricing for further details.

Q. How will we be able to check the wording and details before our stationery is printed?

A. All documents are sent out to you in a pdf file format to proof read prior to going to print. You are wholly responsible for checking these thoroughly and informing us of any changes or amendments there may be.

Q. How long will it take you to make up our order?

A. On average from start to finish, approximately 1-2 weeks depending on order numbers/complexity. Your requested mail-out dates are noted and your order will be ready for this specified time.

Q. When should we be sending out our invitations?

A. Typically 3-4 months prior to your wedding date to allow enough time for responses to come back and you to inform your venue of confirmed guest numbers.

Q. We are having an Envelopments® design, what do we need to give you for our guest information inserts?

A. Whatever you would like to include. Common inclusions are hotels in the local area, travel information, directions to the venue, wedding gift/poem details, menu options, parking near the church, anything you feel that your guests will need to know to help your day run smoothly.

Q. We are having an Order of Service/Day, when will you need the details of readings, hymns etc. for these?

A. 2-3 months prior to the wedding. You will need to allow time to have this proof read by both yourselves and the priest/vicar/registrar who is conducting your ceremony. (You are responsible for supplying all the information needed for your Order of Service/Day and obtaining copies of hymns and readings).

Q. When will you need to know the final information/guest numbers for our reception stationery and how long before the wedding will we receive these items?

A. 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding at minimum. Table numbers, place cards, menus and the table plan will be ready 2-4 weeks prior to your wedding.

Q. We want our table plan to be framed; can you supply it like this?

A. Yes we can, ask for details.

Q. When are deposits/final balances payable?

A. A 50% deposit is requested to confirm your order. Once each stage is completed and ready to be dispatched (i.e. save the dates, invitations, reception stationery and thank you cards) the remainder of their payment will be required. Delivery charges will be also be added onto final balances.

Q. How do you accept payment?

A. By cheque made payable to ‘Creative Bridal Stationery’ or via BACS, account number: 42378116, sort code: 09-06-66, bank: Santander.

Q. We are local and don’t want to risk having our order posted – can we collect from you directly?

A. Yes by prior arrangement with us. Most of our couples decide to do this for peace of mind! Or if you can’t make it to us, we can deliver personally to you (cost charged per mile).
